Thomas Hohenacker

Thomas is a passionate entrepreneur and manager, as well as creator of new technologies and systems. He founded Cleverciti Systems in 2012 as he is devoted to contributing solutions to making our cities smarter, lowering CO2 and NOX emissions by avoiding unnecessary parking search traffic, reducing climate change and thereby improving quality of life.

He leads a team of highly qualified experts and engineers and developed ground- breaking innovations and solutions for Smart City applications. Thomas is also the author of numerous international patents for the smart parking industry.

He has established Cleverciti as a technology leader in smart parking solutions and services, since pioneering edge-computing, AI-based IOT parking sensors, 360-degree guidance solutions and unique vehicle location cards.

His previous activities as entrepreneur included the production and distribution of high-quality programs and unique TV events for leading international broadcasters. Among others, he produced for Discovery Channel, National Geographic, NHK, ABC and many European broadcasters, such as Pro7, RTL, VOX, ZDF, BBC and TF1.

Prior to founding Cleverciti, Thomas also developed unique technologies for broadcast applications, such as fully remote-controlled TV-camera and patented transmission systems, which have been used in over 40 territories world-wide. He is the creator of the internationally known program called “earthTV”, which was one of the widest reaching daily programs out of Europe, broadcast in 16 different languages.

He started as a radio speaker at the age of 12 and founded his first company at the age of 25 in New York. Thomas speaks fluent English, French, Italian and German.
